The Barclay Primary Tyre Shredder, a “workhorse” in tyre shredding equipment that processes tyres up to 72″, producing 4.9″–10″ (124–254 mm) strips in seconds. Built tough for high-volume operations.

Part of the Vertech premium equipment range, the Barclay Primary Tyre Shredder is a true workhorse designed for high-capacity tyre processing. It effortlessly shreds whole tyres up to 72″” (1,829 mm) in diameter, producing consistent rubber strips ranging from 4.9″” to 10″” (124mm to 254mm), depending on configuration.

Engineered for performance and uptime, the shredder features Cru-Wear tool steel and Modified A8 knives capable of achieving up to 10,000 tons (9,072 tonnes) of throughput per set. AISI D-2 tool steel modular bases ensure long-term cutting precision and structural integrity.

Continuously rotating strippers prevent blockages and eliminate wear plate replacement, while chain-driven feed rollers with a torque-limiting clutch keep material moving. The 75 hp motor and gearbox include shear pin protection to safeguard the drive train, and fully wired user-friendly controls provide fast installation and safe operation.
