DoseRAEP is a self-reading electronic personal dosimeter that measures gamma radiation.  If offers personal dose and dose rate monitoring in a rugged, lightweight package.  The DoseRAEP, a collaboration between industry experts SAIC and RAE Systems, works in conjunction with the SAIC Dosimeter Reader, which can help implement a dose management system at a fraction of the price of a more traditional reader.

Measurement
The DoseRAEP provides dose measurement, dose rate measurement and chirp alarms.  Features such as water resistance, bright flashing LEDs, a loud alarm, longer battery life, long calibration life, easy computer interface, and dose history can simplify the working procedures of health physicists overseeing dosimetry management programs.

Geiger-Mueller
The DoseRAE P also features a Geiger-Mueller tube for superior accuracy and protection against RFI, microphonic effects and temperature changes, dose rate and total accumulated dose alarms, and an automatic ranging LCD display and backlight.
