The Woodpecker™ is a Percussion 2 Pneumatic Oscillating System used for Femoral Broaching. It represents an advancement of the Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) procedure, with over 5000 systems in use today.

The Woodpecker™ can be used both as a rasp for prosthetic device operations and as an intermedullary pin implantation and extraction machine. The high-frequency axial impulses of the instrument substantially reduce operating time. At the same time, avoiding a non-physiological build up of pressure in the bone.

The Woodpecker™ is easily adaptable to work with all hip systems.

LightOptronics Aust. is the Australian and New Zealand Service and Repair Agent for IMT and provides fast and efficient maintenance services and repairs for the Woodpecker, at a lower cost to the end user.
