One set of parallel arms housed a double-acting hydraulic cylinder actuated by the Power Step power pack. The parallel arms were fixed to a rotating head bolted to the base machine. A single man-size basket attached to the parallel arms hoisted the operator from ground level to the cab door.

The system has a park brake interlock, so once the park brake is released the basket would stow away along side the cab door.
