The SR500ex Powered Air-Purifying Respirator is certified for operation in many situations where the air can be ignited by sparks caused by electrics or machinery. See datasheet for complete information.

The fan unit can be connected to a variety of Sundström’s head-tops and face pieces (also intrinsically safe), including hard and soft hoods and shields, as well as the SR200 full face mask and the SR540ex intrinsically safe hard head shield with visor.

As an extra bonus, the entire SR500ex unit and all its individual parts have been certified by the IECEx.

Some features of the SR500ex:

• Single-button operation
• Visible and audible alerts
• NiMH battery
• Up to 6 hours’ operation
• 2 h recharge time approx.
• Normal and boost air delivery (175 & 225 l/min)
