Material Finish
Our acrylics are high grade cast acrylic. Standard colours are gloss finish both sides, Matt colours in the black and white have a matt finish on one side and gloss on the other. For exact colour swatches you can purchase sample swatch packs. See sample swatches in the materials list.
Protective masking
Each side of the acrylic is coated in a paper or plastic film protective layer for protection during transport and storage. For best results with your acrylic ensure that it is stored lying flat to avoid warpage, remove the plastic film before etching.
Why use cast acrylic?
Cast acrylic material provided a high thickness consistency and is easy to fabricate, with less chance of warping or shrinkage, when compared to extruded acrylic. Cast acrylic will cut easily without meting edges and can be polished to a high lustre after cutting.
Technical Info:
Thickness is subject to tolerance +/- 10%
Sheet size is subject to cutting tolerance +/- 5mm
Material sheets are available in various sheet sizes and finishes
Shipping is generally more economical in smaller sized sheets, up to 22kg in weight. To calculate approximate acrylic sheet weight use the following formula:
Weight(kg = Width(m)*Length(m)*Thickness(mm)*1.19
For example the following is the weight estimate per sheet:
