Isolating Valves | Hydromine NGD
Low Torque, Low Closing Forces
The N.G.D valve is hydrostatically balanced, requiring very low operating torque or operating forces at all valve positions and for all valve sizes and all pressure ratings.
No Gearbox
No gearbox is required to assist in the valve's opening and closing for the handwheel operated and electrically actuated valves.
The NGD pneumatic actuated valve does not require an external actuator. The valve is hydraulically balanced and require very low operating forces.
The NGD line-fluid actuated valve does not require an external actuator. The valve derives it actuating power directly from the line-fluid pressure.
Tamper Proof Isolating Valve
The N.G.D valve is hydrostatically balanced, requiring very low operating torque at all valve positions. The required closing torque does not exceed: -
6.0 N-m for 50NB valve @ 52 bar
9.0 N-m for 80NB valve @ 52 bar
The required opening torque is zero as the line pressure assists the valve opening. No gear box is required to assist the operation of the valve.
Tamper Proof
The N.G.D tamper-proof valve is operated by a standard 19mm socked. Standard socket extension and power bar are used to operate the closing and opening of the valve.
