Why Quality and Precision Matter in Compressed Air Systems for Print
When XPS Printing expanded its production capabilities with its new purpose-built facility, it faced a common challenge in the print industry: ensuring reliable, high-quality airflow to a wide range of sensitive printing and finishing equipment. From sheet-fed presses to bindery machines, inconsistent air pressure or moisture in the lines can slow operations, cause defects, and increase maintenance costs.
We partnered with XPS Printing to design and install a customised industrial compressed air system for printing. Our solution included precision aluminium piping to eliminate leaks and pressure drops, ensuring consistent airflow across every machine in the production line.
The system was tailored to support their critical equipment, including Ryobi printing presses 750 Series, RMGT printing presses 790 Series, Horizon Bindery Mark IV StitchLiner, Horizon BQ-500 Perfect Binder, Horizon HT-300 Three-Way Trimmer, Polar guillotining equipment, and GBC Celloglazing equipment. By carefully mapping airflow requirements, we delivered a timely turnover that allowed XPS Printing to begin operations in its new facility without a hitch.
The result: XPS Printing now runs with efficient, stable compressed air across their presses and finishing equipment, reducing downtime, improving print quality, and lowering energy costs. This project demonstrates how a precision-engineered compressed air system for print, combined with expert planning and installation, can transform a production environment and safeguard long-term performance.
