How Maxi-Check works
As the media slows the ball tends to drop through the media due to its spherical shape even before the media has stopped moving. This slowing of the media allows the ball to drop into the seat creating a 90-95 per cent close in the valve. When the flow reverses, the last small amount of travel results in the ball soft closing in a fraction of a second and as a result of this action, there is no hammer in the system
