The innovative key features of the Pentagon Mortice Locks include:

One cam for 570 cylinders. All lock functions are now performed by one universal cylinder cam. No more changing cams to suit the lock function, no more wasteful returns from site to have a cam changed and no more trying to change a cam only to have the cylinder fall apart.

Easy-fit turn knob adaptors. Turn knob adaptors now locate easily and can not be out of sequence with the locking bar.

Setting tool included with each lock. The days of needing a small, fine flat blade screwdriver for setting lock functions are over. Everything you need is included in the box.

No cylinder hole covers required. The new design removes any need for cylinder covers, previously required to reduce woodchip/swarf ingress.

Escape side set through forend plate. Often overlooked during installation steps, escape side can be set or changed with the lock in the door (while unlocked). No need to remove furniture!

Latch bolt reversible in door. The Latch Bolt can be reversed by simply removing the face plate and rotating to suit inward and outward opening doors, all while the lock is in the door.

Anti lock-out screw superseded. This important function, which has been avoided in many instances is now easily set or removed with the lock in the door.

Standard backset lock case rose furniture fixing holes are slotted. Increased compatibility with different furniture and easier to install rose furniture as screws are easier to align.

Reset lock function in door. During building handover, functions often require changing. Many lock functions can be set and reset without removing the lock and furniture from the door.

Installation template tears out of box. The template is now part of the packaging making it more durable for multiple uses. Furthermore it also includes drill points for Lockwood’s most popular door furniture options.
