Ausafe Test and Tag conducts a 6 monthly and yearly procedure to ensure that the Australian Standard is being met.

Our emergency and exit light testing involves:

• Ensure there have been no power interruptions for 16hrs prior
• Inspection of  fluoro lights for blackened ends, if observed replacement of tube is required
• Testing of manual discharge for 90 minutes to simulated power failure. Light must stay illuminated for no less then 90 minutes
• Reinstate light to normal operating condition and check that the battery charger operation indicator functions correctly
• For Automatic discharge test. Ensure the unit operates correctly by a visual test to identify each indicator light is operational
• Failed lights shall need replacement or repair
• 12 monthly testing is as above plus:
  • Cleaning of all light emitting and reflecting surfaces
  • Record all test results for both 6 month and 12 month testing and deliver to staff and place a copy in the switchboard
