The Cygnus 2+ Hands-Free Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is an ultra-rugged multi-mode NDT gauge built specifically for technicians working in high, confined, or difficult-to-access environments. Equipped with an end-mounted rotatable display, it allows inspectors to easily view thickness measurements while wearing the unit on a wrist, waist belt, or chest harness.

Three Versatile Measurement Modes

1. Multiple-Echo Mode: Uses single crystal probes to take accurate, error-checked remaining thickness measurements while ignoring surface coatings up to 20 mm thick (accepted by Classification Societies).

2. Echo-Echo Mode: Uses twin crystal probes for measuring painted metals with heavy back-wall corrosion/pitting through thin coatings.

3. Single-Echo Mode: Ideal for uncoated metals, heavily corroded/pitted walls, or attenuative materials such as cast iron, plastics, and composites.

Built for Extreme Field Conditions

Constructed with a tough twin-shot injection molded body and protective TPE outer skin, the Cygnus 2+ is sealed to IP67 and shock-tested to US MIL-STD 810G. It includes a front 2.4” screen for quick menu navigation and an end-mounted screen for active hands-free measurement.
