Wire Cutter & Sculptor | Triform 180

A thin piece of resistance wire has a low voltage passed across it. This heats the wire. A piece of expanded thermoplastic material (normally polystyrene) is pushed onto the wire. The heat locally melts the material, collapsing the air pockets that it contains and allowing the wire to pass through. In this way the expanded material can be cut cleanly.

The 180 cuts and sculpts expanded thermoplastic material & bends sheet up to 6mm.

The unit incorporates:

• 180mm(7in) working length (cutting)
• 300mm(12in) working length (bending)
• 480mm(19in) throat depth
• Work table calibrated in metric & imperial units
• 90, 67.5, 60 & 45 degree cutting angles
• Foot switch virtually eliminates fumes
