Teflon is a specialised engineering plastic which has excellent non stick properties – it has a surface to which no substance will adhere.  Teflon is not affected by almost all chemicals and solvents and has outstanding dielectric properties, making teflon sheets the ideal engineering plastic for electrical and thermal insulators, seals, glide rings, etc.  Teflon also has excellent UV resistance and is capable of continuous use at 260 degrees centigrade.  Teflon sheets are available in a variety of thicknesses from 3mm to 50mm thick.  At Pacific West, we supply cut to size teflon sheets and also supply full teflon sheets.

If you require an engineering plastic which is resistant to corrosion and acid attack, performs well at high temperature and in aggressive atmospheres, or for excellent sliding capabilities, teflon is the ideal choice.  Teflon sheet can be provided with etched backing for bonding to steel surfaces and can also be supplied filled with glass fibres for stability.
