RIS SafeRail System | Fall Prevention & Height Safety

The RIS SafeRail system is designed, manufactured and tested to meet AS/NZS1891.2 :2001 and EN795 Class D for rope access fall prevention standards.

RIS SafeRail can easily be adapted to most construction and environmental conditions.

The RIS SafeRail has been designed so that the end user can travel from a Vertical position to a Horizontal position on one continuous system without any disconnection.

The RIS SafeRail systems are designed to be used for most industrial environments and specifically Rope Access and Abseiling applications.

The design of rope access systems is undertaken in conjunction with the building or structures owner or representative and is subject to a detailed design and opera­tion considerations and engineering certification for the parent structure. 

Benefits of using a rail system over a cable system:

• Ongoing maintenance is more affordable as in the unlikely event a section was damaged it can be removed and replaced quickly and cost effectively without the removal of the entire system.
  
  
• Limited deflection in the event of a fall due to the rigidity of the rail in comparison to a cable system.
  
  
• Rail systems can be installed to match building lines and can be designed to disappear into the building mean­ing they have less impact on the builds environmental aesthetics.
  
  
• RIS SafeRail is manufactured from robust, lightweight, corrosion resistant structural aluminium materials suitable for most common environmental conditions.
  
  
• RIS SafeRail will accommodate multiple users subject to a maximum of 3 users per span, with a maximum radius for the SafeRail bend at 500mm.
  
  
• RIS SafeRail can be used for overhead, shoulder, vertical and foot mounted applications.
  
  
• RIS SafeRail and trolleys are tested to a minimum of 15kN statically in all directions that a load can be applied during proper use.
