Available in single, twin or multi-deck configuration, Diverseco pit weighbridges that occupy less surface area than above ground weighbridges. Plus, they do not require on and off ramps or guide rails. This makes them the perfect choice when a long weighbridge is required at a small site.

Pit weighbridges are designed for use in narrow spaces as they eliminate the need for the 1m clearance along both sides that is required for the maintenance and cleaning of above ground weighbridges.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that, as the weighing surface of a pit weighbridge is flush with ground level, construction of pit weighbridges requires excavation work, effective drainage, and more concrete reinforcing.

FULL PIT WEIGHBRIDGES

• Full pit weighbridges require a deep pit, so that the entire deck’s top surface is flush with ground level. Commonly used in large driveways or concreted areas, traffic is able to quickly and easily drive from one side of a full pit weighbridge to the other.

SEMI-PIT WEIGHBRIDGES

• In semi-pit weighbridges (or shallow pit weighbridges) the foundation and deck are cut into the ground, but the deck sits at the same level as the ground. This design eliminates the need for access ramps but requires block-filled or poured concrete retaining walls on all sides, at least 0.75m from the side of the deck.
