What is closed loop recycling?

Closed loop recycling is the process by which a product is used, recycled, and then made into a new product — therefore not ever entering landfill. It’s called ‘closed loop’ as it effectively ends the cycle of waste by reusing as many materials as possible.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), plastic recycling results in significant energy savings compared with production of new plastics using virgin material. In fact, recycling plastic takes 88 percent less energy than making plastic from raw materials.
Closed loop recycling is the best way to minimise your business’ environmental footprint.

Here at Klearfold, our RPET plastic is produced using a minimum of 30% post-consumer waste plastics.
