ACOUSTIFLEX^® S NBR* polyurethane foam system is a Lightweight Absorber (LWA) semi-rigid foam system designed for acoustic applications in engine and trunk compartments.

This new system is fully formulated and includes the mix of a polyol blend with SUPRASEC^®diisocyanate and additives for efficient production of acoustic components for the automotive industry. ACOUSTIFLEX^® S NBR foam system is thermoformable, boasting superior acoustics absorption and offering greater flexibility to satisfy a range of design needs.

Excellent performance, efficient production

• A lightweight, thermoformable semi-rigid foam with improved sound absorption
• Phenolic free
• Enables cost-efficient production with consistent batch-to-batch quality
• Self-supporting, requiring a reduced number of clips for faster assembly
• Consistent acoustic performance and density through the block
• Good flammability characteristics - MVSS 302 and UL-94V0

Fast processing and design freedom

• Enables design with a lower density foam, for lighter weight components and faster processing
• Excellent sound absorption for quieter vehicles
• Ease of thermoforming allows thicker, more complex shapes and customizable designs of component parts
• Fast cool down and cycle time for more cost-efficient production without compromising product performance
