In addition to its rugged constriction, the Xtreme Metal Detector offers easy-to-use set up, operation and reporting from a large, well-designed graphical interface.

Setup and Operation

While the Xtreme Metal Detector ships with factory pre-set settings for your products (based on actual testing and provided application data), adding new products or changing parameters is simple. The following are a few standard features:

• Four password protected levels of access
• Auto set-up and product learning
• Easily change product boundaries/rejection
• One touch log reporting
• Eight fields of data recorded on a large flash drive
• Multiple communication ports – USB and Ethernet
• Log/tracks/rejects, on/offs, faults, warnings, product and setting changes, operator changes and much more

Eriez’ Xtreme Tunnel Metal Detectors are custom manufactured to suit any in-line processing application where space is limited. Combine the Xtreme’s benchmark-setting sensitivities with its feature packed controls in a high-pressure wash down aperture head... all at the price of a mid-range detector.

Xtreme Tunnel Detector with Conveyor

Tunnel Detector with Conveyor integrates the high-pressure wash-down Xtreme aperture tunnel with a durable conveyor. These systems can be ordered in a wide range of sizes with a myriad of optional equipment and are available in standard designs from our Quick Ship Program. Some of the main features include:

• Continuously welded 304 stainless steel construction
• Single point of power in 110/220 VAC
• Food-grade belts
• Tool-less disassembly available on standard design

Xtreme Pharmaceutical

The Xtreme pharmaceutical is designed to inspect tablets and capsules that are gravity fed from the tablet press. This highly sensitive compact designed metal detector system meets stringent FDA standards and accommodates space - restricted areas within tablet and encapsulation rooms. Eriez' pharmaceutical unit has been engineered with an adjustable sensing head and has one of the largest and easiest to clean product chutes in the industry to optimize efficiency. The adjustable support stand comes with casters and is manufactured from 304 stainless steel.

• 1.5”H x 4.5”W or .9”H x 4”W aperture
• Includes free IQ, OQ and PQ Validation Protocols
• Polished 304 stainless steel sensing head and frame

Xtreme Liquid Line

Xtreme Liquid Line Metal Detector systems are designed for liquids, pastes, slurries or other viscous products where high-sensitivity metal detection is required. The system can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Available in pipe sizes 1.5”-4” diameter. When metal is detected in the product flow, a reject signal is channeled to one of the available output relays. The output relay can be used to activate a ball valve, control a visual or audio alarm, or send a signal to a PLC.

Xtreme Vertical, Form, Fill & Seal (VFS)

The Xtreme Vertical Form, Fill & Seal (VFS) units are designed to mount into space-restricted areas below Vertical Form and Fill machines. With its innovative design, the VFS Metal Detector connects to a customer's existing stainless steel hopper and forming tube with simple Jacobs connectors.

This compact unit requires no metal-free area above or below the sensing head. Its control circuitry allows for instantaneous electronic recovery from phase adjustments, as well as field switchable narrow zone/wide zone detection capabilities. The Eriez VFS Metal Detector is suitable for washdown, and features food grade pipe and stainless steel construction. The VFS is excellent for detection & removal of ferrous, non-ferrous & stainless metal contaminants in products prior to final packaging.

Eriez' Xtreme VFS Metal Detectors meet stringent standards for food processing environments and offer the superior sensitivity customers expect from Eriez - these units can detect millimeter-sized metal spheres.

All VFS Metal Detectors offer the same full color, intuitive icon-driven controls as Eriez' other Xtreme Metal Detector systems. Available in 3-inch, 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch aperture sizes to meet practically any application need.

Xtreme Vertical Low Profile Systems

Eriez’ Xtreme Vertical Drop detectors are engineered for use in gravity free-fall applications. They are constructed of 304 stainless steel and include an Xtreme detector with remotely housed electronics, support plate and diverter valve.

Xtreme Webline

Eriez’ Xtreme Webline metal detectors are engineered for use on web or sheet applications. This unit is particularly effective for detecting metallic contaminants in wide, thin products, such as plastics, rubber, wood, woven materials and particle board. The narrow profile and micro metal-free area of the unit permit it to be installed in areas with limited space and with little isolation of any surrounding equipment.
