The Absorb Plus course covers both the Legal need to protect the environment and the Practical Measures that are required to effectively and safely respond to a liquid spill using a spill kit. The maximum length of time for a training course is 2 hours. This will vary depending on the number of participants in the course.

We feel strongly that any employee who is expected to use a spill kit must be trained how to use the kit with regard to their own Safety and the Protection of the Environment.

The course is split up into 3 segments:

• The Legal background including the “General Environmental Duty of Care” and “Duty to Notify”.
• A Whiteboard Animation covering the Absorb 8 steps to respond to a spill. This form of delivery is an engaging and memorable form of presentation.
• A practical session where each participant is required to take part in a simulated spill incident. This reinforces the need to conduct spill response safely and requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

This course is delivered anywhere in Australia and can be delivered virtually to multiple locations if required.
