In June, Nobles worked with Western Australian Water for a challenging lift at the Woodman Point project.
A concrete cap needed to be lifted into place with some key requirements – to avoid the expense of bringing in a new crane for this final lift, the headroom had to be minimised, and the weight had to be minimised as the crane was at 95% of its lifting capacity.
In consultation with the project team, the ideal solution was a 75 Tonne custom designed low headroom, three-piece assembly which was engineered, manufactured and tested at Nobles Perth.
The Senior Project Engineer from Theiss told us "Everything went perfectly - and the lifting beams were just beaut. Thanks again - and please convey this to your designer and workshop crew."
