Wadanggari Park is Australia’s first park and adventure playground to be built on a bridge over a rail line ,creating a breath of fresh air in an urban seting.

Wadanggari means “Banksia” in the indigenous language of Sydney . According to Lane Cove Council there is 4750 square meters of open space including grass areas, performance stage, end of trip bike facilities, picnic settings , adventure style playground and much more !

Award-winning landscape architecture and urban design practice ARCADIA are behind the project. The Banksia has high significance in First Nations culture”. The play space includes a pod climber for pre-schoolers; a net tower for the primary school visitors and an art structure for teenagers and adults. The three towers that reflect the stages of growth of the Wadanggari (Banksia) flower.
