The vents are designed to manage flow rates to compliment the nozzle and the receiver setup, while providing sealing properties that are adequate to facilitate shut off.

The Banlaw Vent also ensures that the small amount of pressure in the tank at shut off is dispersed and the tank is quickly returned to atmospheric pressure.
